Bliss! mag out this month features a ‘Short ‘n Sweet’ article about Chelsea a 15 year old girl from Durham with dwarfism. I was commissioned by Bliss! picture editor Lauren Azor to meet Chelsea and shoot this reportage photography in the North East in June. She was lovely and has clearly struggled all her life with health problems but is a champion of sports in her field. Lets hope she likes the article!
Last week I captured a warm and inviting set of images to promote new local hair and beauty salon Cocoon’s in Newcastle. They needed strong marketing imagery to go across a variety of mediums.
As the owner has spent a huge amount of effort and time on making it look contemporary and welcoming it was important to create commercial interior photography that showed this Newcastle salon at its best! Have a look and see what you think…..
I was recently commissioned by Solographic and RTC North to capture colourful positive case study commercial photography for a huge 200 page document.I shot in education centres and schools across the region where RTC’s enterprise scheme runs with 14-19 years olds.
The commercial photography was mainly from schools and colleges in deprived areas such as Byker, Walker and the West End. The kids were all lovely and helpful and we got some fantastic bright imagery to go with Solographic’s fantastic design idea. Helen at Solographic recreated the images the youths drew at the workshops and embossed into think untreated card.
The results was a fantastically tactile and robust document in a ring binder, so my macro lens came out to document it! Love to know what you think!
Here is my lovely new Newcastle photography studio space, a stones through from the centre of Newcastle and Newcastle quayside. The photography studio is based in Kingsland Church, Newcastle along with other artists spaces.
I mostly shoot product photography, portrait photography and portfolio photography here as it’s a relaxed flexible space, easy to reach from Newcastle centre and beautifully equipped.

Last week I created a set of creative and colourful images for a brand new website for the quayside Waterline Bar due to launch soon. We had chef cooking up a storm and the drinks were flowing…. so I can vouch for the fact that not only is the food and drink beautifully presented but is also top quality on the taste buds…..perks of the job ;-).
So if you are looking for an excuse to avoid the cooker get down there for your din dins!
