Newborn Portraits at Home

The newborn portrait shoot is always a good deal easier for all the family when its captured at home. Life is a bit of a whirlwind with a new arrival so I am always happy to bring my camera to your house and capture your family there. Whilst I love my Newcastle studio work, there is something lovely about capturing a family in their home using soft furnishings as backdrops and scenes that will be so familiar in years to come.

Sarah came to me through a recommendation and wanted her newborn daughter Freya photographed at her Low Fell home in her first few days with brother Noah. She was super sweet and Noah was really gentle with her making the newborn photos of the two of them easy to compose.

Portraits at the Studio!

Whilst I mainly shoot commercially during the week, weekends and evenings give time for my studio portraits, an area of my photography that I just love! The variety of expressions, personalities, props and clothing you can capture are so vast, even after 12 years it never tires.

Chantal and her boys Ben & Sam visited the studio from London for a full session after having an introductory mini session at the Play Station in Gosforth. The boys were very much partners in crime and the energy they had together was perfectly captured as the mischievous side came out! Chantal dived in for a few unplanned and we caught some lovely moments for her to present her hubby with as a surprise gift.

The Twins Annual Visit

You may remember these gorgeous sisters (two sets of twins with only a year between them) from previous blog posts. They have been coming to me annually since I first photographed them newborn at Venture 8 years ago. Since then I have captured them in grassy fields at home, on their first bikes and more recently in my studio with quirky props and lots of laughs. To see how they have grown here are links below;
