More! Magazine’s Christmas in Newcastle

In the freezing cold last week Sam Sparks, my new assistant (cool name eh?) and I went in search of festive photography in Newcastle city centre. The brief from More! magazine was to find, ladies shopping between 18 & 25 and general shots of the Christmas markets & lights and picturesque areas of the town centre.

Despite the hurdles of ugly regeneration scaffolding at every turn and frozen fingers, so numb I found it difficult to control the camera, we captured some lovely sparkly Christmassy images. The issue is out this week and features a mix of my images with readers one too, including a truly hideous one my daughter Daisy supplied of us looking crazy with a snowman- thanks Daisy. Its clearly not always fab having a daughter working in publishing.

More! Magazine’s Street Style in Newcastle upon Tyne

I recently shot for the weekly publication More! Magazine, scanning the streets of central Newcastle looking for girls rocking a laid back summer style. Working with More! Fashion Intern Daisy, we approached many lovely ladies and captured their street style in the blazing hot  sunshine! Some were photographed having just rolled out of bed in their town centre homes to pop to the shops with no make up and a ‘thrown on’ outfit. So watch out you stylish ladies of Newcastle, we might be approaching you very soon!

Komatsu machines in sparking silver

This week I visited the Komatsu plant to capture images for a library of paint colour options for their mobile digger machines. The sparkling metallic silver against the blue sky was a sight to behold!

My brief was to capture the thorough nature of the paintwork and to promote this to the Komatsu client base. It made an interesting change to the usual yellow branding. Apparently they come in any colour requested, even in melon twisting neon colours!
