Model Portfolio Studio Special Offer

Lovely Mum Michelle bought Hollie this amazing gift for her 16th birthday for an exciting and different experience. Hollie was delighted and spent a few weeks planning and sourcing accessories and clothes. She came with a well thought out broad range of outfits and with hair and make styled by herself.

Before we started shooting we sat down together and discussed ideas for shots, matching the outfits with suggested types of lighting and poses to create different moods so that if she chooses to peruse a modelling career she will be able to demonstrate her versatility whilst showing off all her best features and amazing figure.

We had a fantastic time and got some excellent imagery, below is a small selection of what we captured in the hour which gives you an idea the variety of results achieved using different lighting techniques paired with poses and styling.

To see my further model portfolio work please go to http://www.sarahdeanephotography.co.uk/adult-portrait-photographs/ and for anyone who fancies a session for themselves or someone they know, the details are on the flyer below. I can make you look fabulous and that’s a promise!

TK Maxx Fashion Shoot on Newcastle’s Metro

Any TK Maxx lovers in Newcastle will be hugely excited to hear it has a new mega store opening in the city centre on Thurs 28th Feb and to get people excited TK Maxx launched a PR campaign through McCann Manchester (the brains behind the award winning Aldi TV campaign) that needed its very own North East themed fashion photography. So where better to shoot than on the Metro?

The brief was so incredibly exciting yet the biggest technical challenge I have risen to. I was to shoot three models on a moving (yikes!!) & fully functioning train starting at Monument station. We were only allowed to use part of the carriage and on a circuit lasting an hour. So we crammed our 20+ strong team consisting of Fashion Stylists, Make Up Artists, Hair Stylists, Metro Security, Nexus reps, McCann’s Art Directors and Account Managers and Photography Assistants on to a rather perplexed carriage of passengers!

For any photographers reading this, you can imagine the light challenges were vast as no flash was allowed. We travelled in tunnels, under bridges and then through blinding natural sunlight creating a need to change camera settings at lightning speed with no time for mistakes.

The atmosphere was electric as everyone worked quickly with high spirits and the models held strong poses with stealth despite the motion of the carriage. The girls even managed a slick catwalk show in their heels. What stars!

A huge thank you to my team of assistants of Newcastle College students consisting of two amazing stylists Holly and Kate, and my ace lighting assistants Sam and Abby. Thanks also to Helen and Lauren for the make up, and to Newcastle College for lending them all for the day! What an opportunity for their portfolios!

The shots were released last week into North East media and here is the article in the journal; http://www.nebusiness.co.uk/business-news/latest-business-news/2013/02/07/tk-maxx-set-to-open-new-look-store-in-newcastle-51140-32761244/

English Rose Fashion Shoot

We created some amazing work last week with our studio’s team, we brought in Ellie our in-house model, Daisy for fashion styling and also hair and make up and Rachel our assistant for the day.

I had spotted Ellie last year at a family portrait shoot and saw potential. As this was her first fashion shoot, I wanted to make it fun. We chose an ‘English Rose’ theme and vintage variants, playing with clashing prints, a mixture of fabrics and quirky props.

Daisy effortlessly pulled together each outfit in addition to guiding Ellie with poses and jumping in with tiny tweaks to the clothing. I was really impressed! It was my chance to play about with lighting matching the effects to the look and feel of each outfit. I wanted to create specific shades with coloured gels to fit with the previous mood boards we produced (see earlier post) and improvise with colour matching to additional outfits.

Daisy has gone back to London to her new role as Fashion Intern at More! magazine and if you want to find out more about her find her visit http://daisydeane.wordpress.com/ or https://twitter.com/daisyamberdeane.

A big thank you to Rachel our assistant and we have to say Ellie was fantastic, a superstar in the making, so see what you think!
