Ishbelle and Tighe

Its about time I got some of my studio portrait work up here so here are some cheerful colourful shots of brother and sister, Ishbelle and Tighe

These shots show how bright colours and stripes work so well against a white backdrop. Bold colours work best in the studio, always avoid blocks of white or the definition and impact is lost.

It also helps fab shots when big bro clearly loves his baby sis, but she did her usual trick of wriggling out of his grasp! A typical moment caught forever….

Charlie & Wren

These images were shot in a beautiful home setting in uber cool Hackney, London. A trip south on business meant an opportunity to capture the gorgeous new addition to the family Wren and a handful with older brother Charlie.

Newborn Harry

Harry was only a few days old when we captured him so small and sleepy. Mum Gabrielle wanted to capture the tiny newborn size and feotal mannerisms that her baby had in his first days.

The stripey clothes and blankets that she brought added really unique colour schemes and compositions to the images and the nude ones show his skin still wrinkled, still so new from the womb. It was a really special shoot and hope to see him again as he grows!

Emily & Evie

Last weekend I captured some ‘oh so cute’ shots of sisters Emily and Evie. Mum and Dad had been through the mill as Evie had been seriously ill since her birth 4 months ago. Now it was time to celebrate as the worst is over and Evie has recovered. Emily was a superstar and took breaks from being crazy bonkers to squeeze her sister and give a kiss.

Kudos pub in Glasgow

This was a commission for Scottish and Newcastle Pub Company, the brief was to capture a refurbishment of this Glaswegian pub residing in the financial district, after it had a fire and emerged with a new identity. It was slick like its clientele and was a dream to shoot… more to come including chef showing off with some flame action!
