The Staith House, North Shields

I recently created a new personal record with my North East based pub & bar PR photography for Heineken recently when revisiting the cosy Staith House in North Shields, Newcastle. This was the 4th time I have captured Kimberly, James and John as they have really put this pub on the map with their excellent menu, real ales and live music. The pub had excelled in social networking above others in the Star Pubs portfolio and so I was asked to capture social networking themed shots for the Heineken awards and Staith House PR.

Below are a few of the PR photos and bar interior photography along with the shots Kimberly took of me whilst I captured James updating Facebook. In fact technology is so amazing that Kimberly’s phone pics of me popped on James’ laptop screen whilst I was shooting the Staith House Facebook page!

Solutions Recruitment Meeting Rooms

Solutions Recruitment moved premises last autumn to The Yorkshire Chambers, a beautiful Victorian grade II listed building on Pilgrim Street in central Newcastle. As I regularly shoot portraits for the company’s ever growing team of 40+ staff they commissioned me for promotional imagery of the meeting rooms for general hire.

With a fresh new refurbishment retaining original features it was a spectacular piece of architecture to photograph. The images needed to illustrate the grandeur in a corporate context so I adjusted the camera to filter out the tungsten’s orange light giving the imagery a cool blue tone.

The company has also recently had a rebrand together with a website refresh so for anyone looking for impressive meeting spaces (or even considering a career move!) it might be worth looking at their website on this live link http://www.solrecruit.co.uk

The King’s Wark, Edinburgh

My interior photography portfolio is ever-growing as I recently decided to specialise in pub and restaurant imagery.  So I was delighted to shoot a series of images for Heineken’s Star Pubs internal pub guide. The document was being created specially to feature Edinburgh and London’s best pubs under the Star Pubs & Bars company owned by Heineken.

Some of the work shot in both capitals, features on my interiors page on my website, however there are a few favourites I plan to blog over the next few months as the interior design was so diverse and interesting and therefore an absolute joy to photograph. The King’s Wark was one of my favourites as it had a friendly and warm atmosphere and has won high acclaim for it’s creative and high quality food offering. The Kings Arms, Heineken Pub Awards Finalist

Last month I was touring the UK photographing a mammoth 27 (yes…. TWENTY SEVEN!!) Heineken pubs for their annual awards ceremony. I could see immediately why this pub had been shortlisted as soon as I arrived.

It’s strength was in the Marketing category as owners Paul & Robert are super up to date with social networking, website presence and promoting their themed fancy dress nights. What a totally welcoming and cosy pub this is! It was a pleasure to arrive here one drizzly October day and Paul and Robert were extremely accommodating and friendly, clearly loved by the locals for offering fantastic food and coffee during the day and fun and frolics at night!

Ernest Launch Night in the Ouseburn Newcastle

Yum Yum, well that pretty much sums up the interior, the food, the drinks and the delightful service from those fab folk at Ernest eatery in Newcastle. The launch night attracted those who were inquisitive and full of anticipation and tickets were limited. It was a relaxed and fun evening with a gorgeous spread of complimentary ‘tasters’ and beautiful cocktails amongst a comfortable interior that has a unique warm glow.

I captured the evening in a colourful style to reflect the atmosphere of the venue and various groups of happy guests. Its well worth a visit whether you are gagging for a coffee fix by day (fantastic coffee provided by the Ouseburn Coffee Company at http://ouseburncoffee.wordpress.com/) or a slap up meal in the eve (amazing chef Ross will delight your tastebuds!) you won’t be disappointed!
