Newcastle Law Courts photography

This week I have been all over the country shooting people, places and objects! One of the most fun projects this week was to capture Newcastle’s coastal landmarks and the Law Courts for a well known North East Solicitors new website. Here are the images of the courts, (coastal to come soon)  I thought they had a feel of Battersea Power Station… see what you think..

Retro Stereo with Model Sophia

Retro Wharfedale speakers & Sanyo ghetto-blaster, Skull Candy headphones and a Vestax mixer; proper boom-tastic props for this music themed shoot with model Sophia. She arrived at the studio with make up and hair beautifully styled by local salon Cocoons and outfits small enough to make anyone go dizzy!

The brief from my client was to to capture provocative and playful shots incorporating music props in a kind of ‘Ministry of Sound’ style, with sex appeal and lots of creativity!

We had a a great day and got some ace results but I cant tell you what they are for yet as its super duper top secret project…. but as always, watch this space!

Fathers and Sons Photography

The studio has been busy this week with portraits of fathers and sons…. here are some ideas of what we can do if you introduce props and uniforms! A hat and a teething baby made for some super spontaneous shots!

Komatsu machines in sparking silver

This week I visited the Komatsu plant to capture images for a library of paint colour options for their mobile digger machines. The sparkling metallic silver against the blue sky was a sight to behold!

My brief was to capture the thorough nature of the paintwork and to promote this to the Komatsu client base. It made an interesting change to the usual yellow branding. Apparently they come in any colour requested, even in melon twisting neon colours!

Studio HB Collaboration Print Project- Calender 2012

This January there have been a few lucky recipients chosen to receive this fab 2012 calendar. The project was a print collaboration with Studio HB in London http://www.studiohb.co.uk/ who’s speciality is large scale graphics for museums, environment and exhibition spaces.

Myself and Helen from Studio HB brainstormed the creative and got cracking after a short notice commission in mid December. Anyone who hasn’t got one who would like one do please drop me a line and request one.

I have dropped in on a few fellow studio dwellers here at Kingsland Church Studios and found them with, Painter Jim Edwards, http://jimedwardspaintings.com/home.html, Artist Natalie Bell http://nataliebellartist.com/home.html & Sculptor Yvette Hawkins, http://www.paperfaerie.com/

Hope you like it!
